Thailand Charter Week gets support of Phuket Governor

In support of the Thai government policy to promote the tourism industry, the Thai Yachting Business Association will once again organise the Thailand Charter Week at the Phuket Yacht Haven from the 16th to the 19th of November 2022.

On Friday the 23rd of September at the Phuket City Hall, Mr. Narong Woonsiew, Governor of Phuket, chaired a meeting to support the public relations of the Thailand Charter Week 2022.

In attendance representing the TYBA were Mr Matthew Na Nagara, previous President and staunch supporter of the TYBA and other current members of the TYBA board and organising committee of the Thailand Charter Week including Tanawat Thanthong, Pornpimol Chimsakul, Parvati Huo, Kantaruethai Fedorova  and Olivier Payen.

Mr. Na Nagara explained that the Thai Yacht Business Association represents the yachting industry throughout Thailand and was established in 2014 to support and act as a medium for doing business in the yacht industry in Thailand. It provides basic information and troubleshooting to keep the yacht industry in Thailand running smoothly and operates as a medium to create understanding between the government sectors such as the Marine Department (Ministry of Transport), Customs Department (Ministry of Finance), Ministry of Tourism and Sports and Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the private sector, etc.

The Thai Yachting Business Association, together with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, will organize Thailand Charter Week 2022 between 16-19 November at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina.

The aim is to make Thailand into “Asia’s Yachting Hub” for chartered yachts and superyachts in the region and to generate income for local residents and yacht related businesses such as marinas, boat maintenance businesses, crews, etc.

The target audience for the event included Charter Brokers from around the world, yacht agencies, boat owners and media, magazines and publications.
