On Saturday the 22nd of July the Thailand yachting industry lost one of its true pioneers, Andy Dowden. Described by everyone who met him as an absolute gentleman Andy’s story in Phuket goes back almost 39 years.

Ocean Marina Jomtien will be organising their quarterly island beach clean-up on July 30 at Koh Phai, the aim is to the rally the boating community and industry leaders to bring awareness to the ever-visible rubbish problem around the Gulf of Thailand.

Disabled Sailing Thailand is the first sailing club for people with disabilities in Thailand and has grown to be successful and positive within the region’s yachting community. Ocean Marina Jomtien is proud to have a fleet of specifically designed S/V14’s which we offer monthly training sessions for those with disabilities. Disabled Sailing Thailand is a volunteer not-for-profit organisation that aims to open up sailing for people with disabilities.

The Thailand International Boat Show 2024 (TIBS) will be held at the Royal Phuket Marina from the 11th to the 14th of January 2024. The TYBA has agreed to be a supporting authority for this show. The four-day Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) came to a close on Sunday, 30 April, with 9,250 visitors, 52 yachts and 72 businesses participating in the event.
